PONAS EXPORT HEALTH CERTIFICATION CONFERENCE

Last Thursday, October 30, our colleague Ana Herranz (Export Manager) attended the Ministry of Health, where the PONAS EXPORT SANITARY CERTIFICATION CONFERENCE was held in the press room on “Sanitary certification of food and food products of non-animal origin“.

In this conference, the systematic controls that are being carried out for the issuance of sanitary export certificates of food and food products of non-animal origin were explained, the new evolutions/developments of the SAEXCERT application were also presented and interesting data were given on export health certificates of food and food products of non-animal origin that have already been issued for those countries that require them.

In the day room

On behalf of the Ministry, Juan Manuel Troncoso Ramón (Head of the Export Area of the Sub-Directorate General of Foreign Health), Rocío Ceballos Enríquez, Tomás Barranco Benacloch and Gemma Gómez San José (all of them Heads of Service of the SGSE) were present, in the subsequent round table José María Villar Suarez (Export HUB of Nestlé Spain) participated. Oriol Vergés Ramón (Head of International Health Control of the Department of Health of the Generalitat), Elena Cifuentes (Director of Internationalization of the Spanish Wine Federation) and Phoebe Lin (Account Manager of the Spanish Society of Natural and Related Colorants SAU).

In summary, a meeting and an environment for dialogue was generated between the competent administration in the issuance of sanitary certificates for the export of products of non-animal origin and the sector in order to identify areas for improvement, solutions, ideas that make the SAEXCERT system better and more useful for the issuance of sanitary certificates for the export of products of non-animal origin.
