Organic milk comes from organic farms that meet all legal requirements in order to guarantee the health and well-being of the animal, respect for the environment and sustainable development, for which no synthetic chemicals or transgenic organisms (GMOs) have been used.
CHARACTERISTICS OF AN ORGANIC MILK
The European Union has adopted very demanding regulations for certification as “BIO”. Its main measures have to do with:
- ANIMAL WELFARE: Cows live in semi-freedom regime, avoiding, unless weather conditions advise against, their stabling. Even in this case, the animal must have sufficient space and acceptable hygiene conditions.
- FEED QUALITY: The food they receive is in nature, in fields free of herbicides and pesticides and only when it is necessary the forage is used, In any case, it must be natural and free of GMOs.
